In 2013 Australian New York City resident Yael Stone was the inmate playing "Lorna" Morello In the film Orange Is the New Black. Yael was awarded her NIDA diploma. Yael's first job has given her to work with Australia's top storytellers. Yael is a hugely professional career that has been a success in Australia. A continuing collaboration with Australia's much-lauded director Neil Armfield culminated in the internationally-renowned production Diary of a Madman, in which she starred opposite Academy- Emmy- and Tony Award-winning actor Geoffrey Rush. Yael was able to find a new home with the city of New York City when the production was acclaimed on the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM). Yael is co-founder The Cannery. The Cannery. It's located in Bushwick Brooklyn and works out of Brooklyn to encourage the creative process, and to create new writing.
