Annie Lennox
Annie Lennox is a Scottish native singer. She was born on 25, December, 1954 in Aberdeen. Dorothy Farquharson was her mother, while Thomas Allison Lennox was her father. Lennox studied flute, piano as well as harpsichord at Royal Academy of Music London for three years in the 1970s. She managed to make it with the stipend she received from her students while working part time jobs. In the Royal Academy Lennox was dissatisfied with her skill when compared with her peers and she pondered what alternative path she might follow. Lennox began her career in 1976 when she joined the band Dragons Playground. She left the band before the band went to I.T.V.s talent show New Faces. The singer was the primary vocalist of The Tourists a British pop band between 1977 and 1980. She met Dave Stewart, with whom she would form the pop-duo Eurythmics. Lennox worked on her solo debut album Diva. It was released in 1993. The album received a lot of praise, both from the press and critics. Nostalgia Lennoxs sixth solo album was Released on October 31, 2014. This C.D. Lennox has chosen her favorite jazz, blues and soul tracks. Lepidoptera is a collection of four piano improvisations, was released by Lennox in May of 2019. The E.P. This is the companion album of her "Now I let it go... art installation, which was displayed at Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art. This is also her first independently-released album.
